At Soapee, we’re passionate about sustainability, quality, and supporting small businesses — and our latest collaboration is a celebration of all three.

We’ve teamed up with Soap Factory Guisborough, Hollyhocks, and Roseberry Coffee Co. to create a truly unique, handmade soap infused with locally sourced coffee grounds. It’s a sustainable skincare solution with a story steeped in community spirit and artisan craftsmanship.

The Soap Factory Guisborough: Artisan Soaps with Heart

Based in the charming market town of Guisborough, Soap Factory Guisborough is a family-run business dedicated to crafting small-batch, vegan-friendly, palm oil-free soaps using traditional cold-process methods. Each bar is lovingly handmade with skin-kind ingredients and eco-conscious packaging.

Their workshop is more than just a place of production — it’s a hub of creativity and care. The Soap Factory champions sustainable practices by reusing local ingredients (like coffee grounds!) and always puts the community first.

Hollyhocks Guisborough: Coffee, Cakes, and Connection

Hollyhocks is a cosy, independent coffee shop and deli located in Guisborough’s modern Cleveland Gate Retail Park. Known for their ethically sourced coffee, homemade cakes, and welcoming atmosphere, Hollyhocks is where locals gather to relax and recharge.

Their delicious coffee not only fuels the town — it now fuels our soaps, too. Used coffee grounds from Hollyhocks are collected and repurposed in our soap bars, giving new life to what would otherwise be waste.

Roseberry Coffee Co.: Fresh Roasts with a Local Twist

Roseberry Coffee Co. is a small-batch roastery rooted in the North East. Their beans are carefully selected, ethically sourced, and roasted to perfection just a stone’s throw from the iconic Roseberry Topping.

As part of this project, Roseberry Coffee Co. provides the rich, aromatic beans served at Hollyhocks — the very grounds now giving our soap its gentle exfoliating texture and subtle coffee scent.

The result of this collaboration? A luxurious, exfoliating soap bar infused with used coffee grounds, made with care at Soap Factory Guisborough. It gently buffs the skin, helps improve circulation, and smells absolutely divine — all while reducing waste and supporting three fantastic local businesses.
